The National University Complex for Biomedical and Translational Research (NUCBTR) has the highest class of technological equipment, allowing the provision of services in the fields of biobanking, biomedical research and laboratory medicine, such as genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, cell biology, immunology, drug monitoring, physiology and others.
The aim of the research infrastructure is to offer access to a wide range of researchers, research organizations and external users to modern highly specialized research methods, services and expert assistance at the highest professional level.
Molecular Medicine Center
Arterial pressure and ECG recording and analysis in acute and chronic experiments with un-anesthetised small experimental animals (rats);
Food and liquid intake, and urine collection recording in chronic experiments with small experimental animals (rats);
Surgical animal models for common disorders:
- kidney denervation;
- unilateral nephrectomy.
Blood vessel catheterisation in small experimental animals (rats):
- jugular vein;
- femoral vein;
- femoral artery;
- aorta.
Training course in surgical manipulation of small experimental animals for undergraduates, PhD students and clinical trainees.
