Department of Medical Chemistry and Biochemistry, MU-Sofia is a base for preparation of diploma theses for students from the bachelor's programs in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at the Faculty of Biology at Sofia University Kliment Ohridski.

Department of Medical Chemistry and Biochemistry, MU-Sofia is a center where final theses can be executed for students from master's programs at the Faculty of Biology at Sofia University Kliment Ohridski and the master's program in bioinformatics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at Sofia University Kliment Ohridski.

At the Department of Medical Chemistry and Biochemistry, MU-Sofia, training in the educational-scientific degree "Doctor" in the accredited specialties Molecular Genetics, Molecular Biology and Biochemistry is conducted.

At the Department of Medical Chemistry and Biochemistry, MU-Sofia offers opportunities for training in molecular genetics to foreign students of medicine and biological sciences. During the training, students are introduced to the basic molecular genetic techniques routinely used in molecular medicine.

In the framework of the established partnership with the IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students ’Associations) and the Erasmus + program, trainings for foreign medical students are conducted.

Department of Medical Chemistry and Biochemistry, MU-Sofia provides an opportunity for summer workshops for Bulgarian students of biomedical sciences studying abroad.

Continuing education for specialists is conducted in the form of thematic courses and individual training. This leads to the theoretical and practical accumulation of knowledge and skills.

Graduates of various forms of postgraduate qualification receive certificates.
